The Three RV Storage Options

One of the common RV storage options is the dry, trailer storage. Many of these RV storage services are available nearby marinas. This is a storage service where you are actually keeping your boat in a so-called ‘boat-garage’ so that the vehicle is not affected by natural elements and kept away from theft. This is a very convenient storage option because you are no longer keeping your trailer at home. At the same time, instead of driving to the water every time you want to use your boat, you get to keep your boat with the trailer nearby the marinas. This option is definitely cheaper than the dry stack or wetslips storage.

If your home land area is quite spacious there is no reason why you can’t park your boat inside your own garage. As a matter of fact, many boat owners who own more than two garage spaces tend to store their boat at home. This RV storage option is very convenient because you don’t have to pay expensive fees to the storage providers. Your boat is right in front of you all the time and you can definitely protect it from the harsh effects of sunlight and snow if your RV storage option is your own home garage.

If you don’t mind damaging your boat up to a certain extent, then you might want to choose the outdoor yard RV storage option. This is one of the cheapest options but also the least favorable. If you leave your boat in an open area without covering, sooner or later the vehicle could become weather beaten and look old before its time. If you are planning to choose an open RV storage option, i.e. to leave your recreational vehicle in an open space, at least get a cover to avoid the boat from being filled with water.
